Jillian (she/her) has been practicing law since 1986. She is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey only.

Jillian has represented clients in cases across the country, as permitted by local federal courts in appropriate cases.

In addition to New York and New Jersey, Jillian has represented clients in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington State.

Jillian has recently published, with Professor David B. Cruz of USC, the first law school casebook to focus on the legal treatment of transgender, gender nonconforming, and non-binary individuals, primarily through U.S. materials but also incorporating legal developments in other parts of the world. Gender Identity and the Law is available from Carolina Academic Press.
